Night surf under a dark sky

The Fine Print

Policies

No deposit, no surprises, and nothing buried in an accordion. Here is every rule that affects your night, in plain language.

Policies

Weather

Lightning or dangerous surf cancels the night, no exceptions. We reschedule at no cost. The call gets made with you by the afternoon of the trip, not at the last minute on the sand. Wind and passing rain usually fish fine.

Deposits and payment

There is no deposit and nothing is paid through this website. We confirm a date with you first, then arrange payment directly. The $450 only changes hands once the night is locked in.

If your plans change

Tell us as early as you can so the night can go to someone else. Since nothing is owed up front, there is no penalty — just give us the courtesy of notice.

Liability waiver

Everyone signs a standard liability waiver before lines go out, the same as any guided big-game trip. You will get it ahead of time, not sprung on you in the dark.

Permits and licenses

Florida requires every angler 16 and up to hold a free Shore-based Shark Fishing Permit and complete the online Shark-Smart course, on top of a saltwater license. No guide can cover this for you — it is issued per angler. We walk you through signup before the trip.

How the permitting works

Group size

Four rods maximum, so everyone gets real time on a fish. The $450 covers the whole group up to that. Bringing more people than that? Say so in your request and we will work it out before you book.

Catch and release, always

Every shark goes back. Florida protects 29 species outright and those never leave the water at all — they are unhooked in the wash or cut free at the leader. This is not negotiable, and it is not up for discussion on the beach.

The release protocol

Where we fish

Only beaches where shore-based shark fishing is legal, inside that city's legal hours. Municipal rules change, so we re-check every window before every trip.

Safety and conduct

There is a safety brief before the first bait goes in the water, and it is not optional. Your guide handles every leader, hook, and release. Anyone who is intoxicated to the point of being a hazard around heavy tackle and a live animal goes home, and that is the one thing we will not be flexible about.

Anything here you want clarified before you book, just ask — shorelinegiants@gmail.com.

No surprises. Pick a night.

Tell us the dates you have in mind and how many are coming. $450 a night, no deposit — we'll come back with open nights, usually within a day.
