1. Weather

   Lightning or dangerous surf cancels the night, no exceptions. We reschedule at no cost. The call gets made with you by the afternoon of the trip, not at the last minute on the sand. Wind and passing rain usually fish fine.

2. Deposits and payment

   There is no deposit and nothing is paid through this website. You pay the $450 on the night, before we head down to the sand, however's easiest: cash, card, Venmo or Zelle.

3. If your plans change

   Tell us as early as you can so the night can go to someone else. Since nothing is owed up front, there is no penalty — just give us the courtesy of notice.

4. Liability waiver

   Everyone signs a standard liability waiver before lines go out, the same as any guided big-game trip. You will get it ahead of time, not sprung on you in the dark.

5. Permits and licenses

   Every angler 16 and up needs the free Shore-based Shark Fishing Permit, which comes with FWC's online Shark-Smart course, plus a Florida saltwater license (the shoreline license is free for residents; visitors pay $17 for three days). The permit is issued per angler and lasts a year, so no guide can cover it for you. We send the links and walk you through signup before the trip.

6. Group size

   Four rods maximum, so everyone gets real time on a fish. The $450 covers the whole group up to that. Bringing more people than that? Say so in your request and we will work it out before you book.

7. Catch and release, always

   We never keep a shark. Florida protects 29 species outright, and those never leave the water: they're unhooked in the shallows or cut free at the leader straight away, with no photos. That isn't up for discussion on the beach.

8. Where we fish

   Only beaches where shore-based shark fishing is legal, inside that city's legal hours. Municipal rules change, so we re-check every window before every trip. March through October is sea turtle nesting season, so we use red lights only, kept low and pointed away from the dunes.

9. Safety and conduct

   There is a safety brief before the first bait goes in the water, and it is not optional. Your guide handles every leader, hook, and release. Alcohol is banned on most of these beaches, and anyone who shows up drunk goes home.
